12 MONTHS - 10.24.11

My baby is no longer a baby....he is officially a TODDLER. He's been cruising around the house and taking a few steps for a couple weeks, but on his birthday he decided it was time to WALK! We went to the park with his Nana and he just took off...he was walking all over the place! He had a blast playing and when we went back later that week, he said it was time to move on to the 2-6 year old playground!! HAHA!

His Birthday party was a success...thanks to my wonderful parents and husband. Robbie and I were both sick but he still had a blast...poor mommy did not feel good though. Robbie got so many wonderful gifts and now has way too many toys. I will post pictures of the party soon.
12 month stats: height: 33" (above 95th percentile), weight: 24 lbs 6 oz (75th percentile) and head circumference: 19.5" (above 95th percentile). Doc said he is off the charts!!
He is in a size 6 shoe, size 4 diaper, size 24 month shirts, and size 18 month pants.

My good eater has returned! For how long, who knows...we've been told the Toddler years are up and down when it comes to eating. But for now, he's eating great and has even decided he likes fruit (besides his favorite applesauce). He loves to eat chicken (chick chick) and cheese (just like his mommy!)....and wants pretty much everything Hunter and I are eating. :)
Please enjoy the pictures from his actual Birthday (10.24)...more pictures of the party and of Halloween coming soon!

11 MONTHS - 9/24/11

11 months....no way....that means I have less than a MONTH to plan this boy's 1st BIRTHDAY PARTY!! AHHH! :) I am super excited about having his party but it is bittersweet for me...this year has flown by and I try not to get emotional, but I am. My boy won't be a baby anymore...he really isn't one now. He's growing up so fast...learning new things...doing new things...and amazing us everyday. He is such a blessing. (My eyes are watering as I type this...sad!)

ANYWAY! This last month we have been BUSY! MMO is going great but mommy is super tired on Tuesday's and Thursdays! I really think Robbie enjoys it and I do too. My kids are super sweet and I am learning how to have LOTS of patience. It's really good practice though because Robbie will be turning 2 before I know it and those fun milestones like "potty training" will be in full swing. It totally helps that my class is 8 boys and 1 girl!
(If I have a girl one day, I'll be in trouble! LOL)

What's new with the Robster...wow, so many things! He is getting even more vocal...it's so fun and quite funny. Hunter and I try to teach him new words everyday and it's really fun to see him try and say them! He's so smart...he must get it from his daddy. :) He says "uh oh", "da da", "ma ma" (but not to me usually), "kitty or ki ki", "dog", "shhh" (fish), "nannnaa", and so many more noises. It's amazing how he understands what I am saying to him....I can totally ask him if he wants "mi mi" (milk) or water and he will let me know!

Meal times are pretty difficult these days...according to our Doc, we have entered the "Toddler" stages...which translates to grazing or eating weird. Some days he'll eat a normal portion, other days he'll basically skip a meal. The worst is at MMO....he doesn't seem to eat lunch great there but at home it seems to be better. He wants to eat ANYTHING Hunter or I am eating...even after he's eaten a full meal already. He is no longer eating baby food...all table food now. He eats grilled cheese, chicken, turkey, mac n cheese, green beans, carrots, beans, applesauce, cereal bars, any snack, animal crackers, yogurt melts, any breads and other random things. He LOVES his whole milk now...took a bit of a transition but now he drinks 3 to 4 glasses a day. He still loves his water and he really likes apple juice.

Well, here's my big news about Robbie: Last night he took his 1st STEP! And today he took FOUR, twice! I am hoping this means he will be on his way to really walking soon. I know everyone says I'm crazy for wanting him to be walking but seriously...this boy weighs 25 lbs...HE'S SO HEAVY! Momma's back needs a break :) He's already into EVERYTHING, so I don't see much of a change in that department. He finally figured out how to walk forward in his car walker...it was really cute the first time he did it. Hunter taught him :)

Sorry for my ramblings! Here are some 11 month pics of my sweet Robbie!!

Dog Boy :)
LOVE THIS PIC! :) Sweet smile...

10 MONTHS - 8/24/11

Last week Robbie started Mother's Morning Out and turned 10 months old!
So far he is enjoying playing with new friends!
Robbie is not walking YET but it won't be long...he is SO SO active and is wearing his mom out! HA! I know I'm a little biased but he is the happiest child ever :) Which makes me a very proud mommy! He is so verbal and keeps learning new things everyday. A few days ago he was sitting on the floor in my bedroom and I asked "Robbie where are the fish?" He looked up at the fish tanks and pointed at them!! He did the same thing for Hunter the next day and even tried to say "fish"...sounds like "shhh" :)
He is getting more coordinated and is still using both hands to do things. When I watch him play, I can't figure out which hand is more dominate...
so we shall see!
Another exciting thing...we are DONE with bottles! Last month we moved to whole milk and it didn't take long for Robbie to ditch the bottles...he's only using straw sippy cups! YEAH!
Everyday I try to move toward more and more "table food"...he LOVES green beans! I warm them up a little and then let him go to town! Robbie can pick up and eat little pieces of chicken, roast and fish, he eats mashed potatoes and gravy, mac n cheese, carrots - all fed by mommy. He likes pieces of pancake, biscuit, toasted bread, but anything slimy...not a chance! If it's slimy, I have to blend it up and spoon feed it.
He still eats baby food - but it's the Stage 3 and is really chunky.
Guess that's about it for now...new things happen everyday!
Stay tuned for next month!

9 MONTHS - 7/24/11

9 months....wow...time has flown!
I can not believe that my "little" boy is going to be 1 in less than 3 months.
I say "little" because he is not little :)
The doctor said he is the size of a typical 1 year old! HA!

So, here are the latest stats:
WEIGHT: 24 lbs 9 oz (95th percentile)
HEIGHT: 30 1/2" (90th percentile)

Last week we spent the entire week at the beach with my family...it was wonderful. Hunter had not had a real vacation in FOREVER...long, long overdue. Robbie absolutely loved the pool and enjoyed the sand as well. The ocean was slightly scary, so he stayed very close of one of us :)

Other developments over the last month:
Robbie is crawling much faster now (watch out kitty cat), he is pulling up and cruising around the entire house (mommy is very tired), last week he said "Doog" and "uh oh", he is still eating Stage 3 foods but is starting some table food (loves green beans!), we got the go-ahead on whole milk (YEAH!) and are mixing half milk/half formula right now....I'm sure I'm forgetting something!

Also, mommy got a job!! :)
I am still doing my little home business ("Handmade by Autumn" - check out my other blog especially for that - www.handmadebyautumn.blogspot.com) BUT starting August 23rd, Robbie and I will be doing "Mother's Morning Out" at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. I will be a teacher and Robbie will be attending! I am so excited for him....he just loves being around other children and I really think he's going to enjoy it. It is every Tuesday and Thursday from 8-12...so not too much, but just enough!

Here are a bunch of pictures from our beach trip...ENJOY!

First time in the sand....

Yes, he has a rash....it's FINALLY gone.

Playtime with friends - we got to see the Burgess family one day.

He looks a little unhappy in these pics...but I PROMISE he loved the pool....

I love my daddy...
